Started right up. My Acer laptop gets to the login screen wicked quick, but then hangs in the black screen for 501 seconds before explorer.exe loads... When i tried to chose one, it just went back to the beep sound and black screen w/underscore. This I fixed by adding the "nomodeset" kernel option, as stated e.g. this content
