The chances of you getting a kernel error from the OS right after installing windows is highly unlikely. Standard software shouldn't be able to cause blue screens -- if an application crashes, it will do so without taking the operating system out with it. I'm beginning to think your Hard Drive could be the culprit. That would be the second time I have seen BSODs during it.
