That is correct. The printer is a Dell 5100cn (Color / Laser / Network) connected directly by USB cable. Look at the results (http://www.google.com/search?hl=&q=ubuntu+%22print+error%22+%22there+was+a+problem+ processing+document%22&sourceid=navclient-ff&rlz=1B3GGGL_enGB285GB285&ie=UTF-8). I have found that the BIOS is disabled and initfs still loads the i915 driver module On Tue, Aug 9, 2016 at 12:00 PM,
Steve54October 31st, 2011, 06:03 PMI want a headless server with VNC, and I am going to get it. Does anyone know if there is any real defined fix for this. arrrghhhAugust 3rd, 2010, 06:17 AMNot sure why a 'headless' server would have a GUI in the first place... Same damn issue. http://www.techspot.com/community/topics/please-help-with-hijack-this-log.33389/
Already have an account? I didn't think I had a solution for you, just thought that the information may be relevant. crjacksonMay 16th, 2010, 02:13 AMdid you try reinstalling cups-pdf?
You only have "apache". In this case maybe you need this patch, which is not in -rc4: https://lists.freedesktop.org/archives/nouveau/2016-April/024523.html Also I am surprised by the report that the screen goes blank after this - failure to crjacksonMay 26th, 2010, 06:26 PMYeah, I hear. If I remember correctly, I uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it, and that fixed it.
That indicates that the printer's drivers may be having a problem with Postscript (I believe that PDF's are in Postscript; please correct me if wrong). This really sucks.
No one ever interacts with the cli except me. Without a GUI, that's how it should be. I guess I think headless I think no GUI. That may be a problem then.
In the meantime, print only two pages at a time. :( Good luck. navigate to this website I guess I think headless I think no GUI. I'll give it a try, but I'm not feeling too lucky about this right now. You can even bring up gnome-panel remotely and have an almost-complete desktop experience.
While the mechanism is safe if the directions are followed, unless portability is a significant requirement it's a better idea to stick to Apache commands instead. I need it to. The Nvidia installer does create a file for you using their manual installation method by executing the driver installation
I need it to. There was no driver available for C2550i but there is a C2550. I can, and do have to, work in the HP Unix world from time to time, but I do it so infrequently that it's a very long slow process. (mostly cos have a peek here It is a mystery to me why the sizes doesn't match, because if I understand correctly the sizes are reported by the GPU itself.
Certainly you can set up a mount point and do those things through the commandline, but from a workflow standpoint, a familiar gui rocks. You can enable this option to help migrate rules into a form that will work on Apache 2.4 before actually upgrading to it. Because this is less efficient to support in Apache 2.4, this option is provided to increase request processing time in the event that such plugins are not in use.
I didn't have any choice in selecting the printer as it isn't mine :). they used a combination of some xorg.conf tweaks, and .xinitrc stuff. Okay, that didn't work. In particular, if old drivers are causing the problem, experiment with Language, Convert TrueType to Type 1 and Emit CIDFontType2 as CIDFontType2.
It really bugs me when people start spouting terminology that the non unix/linux person has no idea about and further bugs me when you don't accpet that the point of Ubuntu everything else fedora stock... Thanks! I did this because I wanted to use the non-free driver. Most entries in a HijackThis log will be legitimate- others will need to be removed and possibly follow up programs run. Certainly there are commandline ways to do anything in linux, but when you are remotely logged into a server, it's nice to have most of your apps available as well.
Fedora 24 boots fine with each of those cards on 4.6. Then I learned how wrong I was. They also correspond to a number of environment variables that can be used in place of commands. I was quite impressed when Cups seemed to identify the printer itself and suggested a driver for it.
