I haven't had one single instance of the TouchPad defaulting all the settings after I followed these instructions even after testing with a dozen restarts and fast startups. Lesson there is release when it's ready, not when 6 months has passed from the last release. This is found by right clicking on the desktop and using the various options that appear.
