My scanner driver was trashed, I had to reinstall that. I am guessing it is something to do with this application not closing. WLM opened the first time, but when I tried to open it again nothing happened and I could not get it to start. I am using XP on a Dell E521 computer. It just refuses to open and doesn't produce a single piece of dialogue. Tried starting it with every link I could find.
So I visited all the forums and did all the hokey pokey, still no luck. The posting of advertisements, profanity, or personal attacks is prohibited. In reading through some of the posts I tried one of the suggestion of going to tak manager and stopping the wlmail.exe file. Click the "Uninstall/Change" button to launch the Windows Essentials 2012 setup application.
From there, WLM starts up fine when I open it again. Even Event Viewer doesn't show an error. Uninstall the Live Mail app via Programs/uninstall/Windows Essential, and then install. i un installed and left it for awhile.
