By the way, do I need to delete the software distribution folder forever? (From the recycle bin) Won't I need it again in the future? Generally the Windows 7 issue that is addressed by this article is related to problems with the OS rather than a network error. I can't believe after I did the above, the dam thing took updates in about 15 mins.
