In Internet Explorer I type ‘My Computer' in the address bar and it shows the drives, including the USB drive (M:). However it doesn't appear in Explorer nor does the disk management technique show it either. It won't show up on Device Manager/Disk Management either. Seagate site says no jumper is needed for this drive. Like so many other computer problems, I can look back and say, "Well, that was dumb!"
